Why comparing yourself is exhausting

Hi Reader,

Can we talk about something that quietly messes with so many of us?

Comparison.

“She lost weight faster than me.”
“She has more energy than I do.”
“She makes it look so easy.”

When you don’t have clarity about what your body actually needs, it’s easy to assume you’re doing something wrong.

That maybe you’re broken.
Or undisciplined.
Or “just bad at this.”

But here’s the truth:

Most women aren’t failing.

They’re guessing.

They’re trying to make generic advice fit a very specific body and season of life.

And that’s exhausting.

One of the biggest shifts for me was realizing I didn’t need to “do better.”

I needed better information about my body.

When you stop guessing, comparison loses its power.

Before it was over I had freezer bags and stands in my Amazon cart and was feeling completely accomplished. 😂 It got me thinking... How many times do we see something and think, "Yep. That's exactly what I need." Maybe it's a healthy...

Feeling off, low energy and unfocused during the day

Hi Reader When I was speaking with someone the other day, she looked at me and said, “I don’t get it… I’m doing everything right.” And I believed her. She was:eating wellgetting her workouts intrying to stay consistent On paper, it all looked good. But when we talked more, a different picture started to show up. Her energy was low most afternoons.Sleep wasn’t terrible… but not solid either.Cravings would hit at the end of the day.And nothing in her body felt like it was responding the way it...

Hi Reader, When I went through my health scare years ago, I learned something important. No one wakes up and chooses to be unhealthy. It happens slowly. Stress.Busy seasons.Putting yourself last. Until your body gets louder. That experience taught me that prevention is powerful. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women understand their bodies — especially in midlife. Not to create fear.To create freedom. Always cheering you on 💜Leslie
